In the KIBO platform, each discount falls into one of three categories: “Line Item”, “Order”, and “Shipping”. Since the “Shipping” discounts are different from the “Line Item” and “Order” Product discounts, there are different fields that need to be configured.In this video, I’m going to demonstrate how to create an Order “Free Shipping” discount. We will only discuss required fields for “Order Shipping” discounts; for a more detailed demonstration of all discount fields, please review the “Creating an Order” or “Creating a Line Item” discount videos. In this video, I’m going to demonstrate how to create an Order “Free Shipping” discount. We will only discuss required fields for “Order Shipping” discounts; for a more detailed demonstration of all discount fields, please review the “Creating an Order” or “Creating a Line Item” discount videos. First, on the “Discounts” menu page, we’ll click the “Create New Discount” button on the top right. First, on the “Discounts” menu page, we’ll click the “Create New Discount” button on the top right. For this example, we’ll name the discount “Free Shipping on Orders of $75 or More”. This means that once a shopper’s Order subtotal reaches seventy-five dollars, they’ll qualify for “Free Shipping” on that Order.We’ll have this discount “Apply To” the “Order” subtotal value. However, we could alternatively configure it to “Apply” when a customer purchases a specific “Line Item”. For this example, we’ll name the discount “Free Shipping on Orders of $75 or More”. This means that once a shopper’s Order subtotal reaches seventy-five dollars, they’ll qualify for “Free Shipping” on that Order. We’ll have this discount “Apply To” the “Order” subtotal value. However, we could alternatively configure it to “Apply” when a customer purchases a specific “Line Item”. Next, we’ll select “Shipping” in the “Affects” field, as that is the discount we are creating, and then in the “Type” field, we’ll select “Free”.We discussed the other “Types” shown here in the “Creating an Order Discount - General Section” video. Next we’ll select shipping in the effects field. As that is the discount we are creating and then in the type field we’ll select free. In the “Discount Conditions” section, we want to set the “Minimum Order Amount” field to “75”, since we are requiring the Shopper to spend “75"toqualifyfor"FreeShipping"ontheirOrder.Inthe"DiscountConditions"section,wewanttosetthe"MinimumOrderAmount"fieldto"75",sincewearerequiringtheShoppertospend"75” to qualify for “Free Shipping” on their Order. The last piece required for an “Order Shipping” discount is to set either the “Shipping Methods” or “Shipping Zones”.We can only select from “Shipping Methods” that belong to the Sites within the current catalog. If a catalog has a single Site attached to it, Shipping Methods for that Site only will be displayed. If a catalog has multiple Sites, Shipping Methods will be tagged with their Site Name to help differentiate between the options. If we want to select multiple Shipping Methods, we will be restricted to selecting Methods that belong to the same Site. The last piece required for an “Order Shipping” discount is to set either the “Shipping Methods” or “Shipping Zones”. We can only select from “Shipping Methods” that belong to the Sites within the current catalog. If a catalog has a single Site attached to it, Shipping Methods for that Site only will be displayed. If a catalog has multiple Sites, Shipping Methods will be tagged with their Site Name to help differentiate between the options. If we want to select multiple Shipping Methods, we will be restricted to selecting Methods that belong to the same Site. Alternatively, or in addition to the Shipping Methods, we can select one or more “Shipping Zones” to apply the discount to. All of the same Order “Discount Limitations” fields exist as in a Product discount, with one exception: we can select whether or not this discount will apply on “Multi Ship” orders, or orders that have multiple addresses they are Shipping to. When we have enabled these fields at a minimum, we can click “Save” to save the “Free Shipping” Order discount.
