Although fulfillers can view and manage shipments through the Fulfiller UI, users can also perform edits and actions on existing shipments from the Order Admin.In this video, I’m going to demonstrate all of the edits and actions that can be performed on an Order’s Shipments after they’ve been created. When an Order is placed, and the “Remorse Period” is either not configured or the “Remorse” window has passed, Order updates through the “Order Details” tab will no longer be allowed. However, there are still updates that can be made to the shipments related to the order through the “Shipments” tab of the Orders screen.“Remorse Period” in KIBO is achieved through the “Configurable Shipment Release” setting in the “General” settings. In this example, the “Shipment Status” is “Not Fulfilled”, meaning that the shipment or shipments on this order are still waiting to be picked at their respective fulfillment locations. When a shipment has been created on an Order, we are unable to add more items to that shipment. However, users can create a “New Shipment” to add items to an Order without refreshing the order pricing or discounts. We can search for products, add them to the cart, and create a new shipment that tracks alongside the original Order shipments. Clicking the “Cancel Order” button will open a modal window where we can cancel the entire Order and all associated Shipments. We can also cancel specific Shipments or items off of a Shipment without needing to cancel an entire Order, if needed. We will discuss those other cancellation methods shortly. In the “Cancel Order” modal window, we’ll need to select a required “Reason” for the Order cancellation, and then click the “Cancel Order” button. We could also click “Nevermind” to discard the cancellation and go back to the Order. Clicking that will give a user the option to view or edit any “Gift Messages” that may be present on the Order.“Shipment Status”, “New Shipment”, “Cancel Order”, and “View/Edit Gift Message” are controls for the entire Order. The rest of the settings we’ll discuss are all specific to their respective Shipment, and can change depending on the Fulfillment Type selected for the Shipment. Next to the cancel order button is an ellipses, clicking that will give a user, the option to view, or edit any gift messages, that may be present on the order. The rest of the settings will discuss are all specific to their respective shipment and can change depending on the Fulfillment type selected for the shipment. Users can track the lifecycle of each Shipment. For each Shipment, we will see the fulfillment “Type”, such as “Store Pickup” or “Ship to Home”; “Shipment Number”, which can be clickable and link directly to the Shipment in the Fulfiller UI menu; the date and time the shipment was “Last Updated”; fulfillment “Status”, such as “Ready” or “Fulfilled”; the “Shipment Step ID” and which “Fulfillment Step” the Shipment is currently on, and the Shipment “Total”. This information can be beneficial when updating shoppers on the Status of their Orders. Users can track the life cycle of each shipment for each shipment. We will see the Fulfillment type such as store pickup or ship to home shipment number, which can be clickable and linked directly to the shipment in the fulfiller UI menu. The date and time, the shipment was last updated fulfillment status, such as ready or fulfilled, the shipment step ID in, which fulfillment step the shipment is currently on and the shipment total. This information can be beneficial when updating Shoppers on the status of their orders. Users can “Reassign Shipments” in situations where it may be necessary, such as a shopper changing a shipping address. Depending on the “Fulfillment Type”, there may be one or more options.“Manual Reassign” is where the user manually selects the fulfillment location, and is used in all Fulfillment Types.“Auto Reassign” is where the Shipment is sent back through the Order Routing engine for placement in the next-best suitable fulfillment location. “Auto Reassign” runs in the background and is typically only for “Ship To Home” or “Transfer” Orders. Users can reassign shipments in situations where it may be necessary. Such as a shopper changing a shipping address. Depending on the Fulfillment type, there may be one or more options. Clicking “Manual Reassign” opens a modal window where the user can then select a new location for the Shipment to be fulfilled. This window has 2 tabs - “Inventory” and “All Locations”.“Inventory” shows all locations who currently have available inventory for the items on the Shipment. These locations are listed in the order of closest proximity to the Shipment address. Users can also search for locations by the “Location Name” or “Location Code” in the “Search” bar. Depending on the “Fulfillment Type”, “Update Shipment” may contain two or more options:“Mark as shipped” will force fulfillment on a shipment and mark it as “Complete” regardless of its current status in the Fulfiller UI. This is good for testing various parts of the Order Management platform without needing to perform each fulfillment step.“Cancel Shipment” will cancel this entire Shipment from the Order. In the case that there is only one shipment on an Order, “Cancel Shipment” will also cancel the entire Order. Similar to the “Cancel Order” button we discussed earlier, this will open a modal window where we’ll need to select a “Reason”, then click “Cancel shipment”. Depending on the Fulfillment type update shipment, may contain two or more options. Market shipped, will force fulfillment on a shipment and Market is complete regardless of its current status in the fulfiller UI. If applicable, any appeasements performed on a shipment will have a full audit log of the appeasement on the “Appeasement Audit Log” tab. Lastly, a full log of shipment activities is recorded for each shipment and displayed on the “Shipment History” tab. Back on the “Items” tab, there is an “Ellipses” for each line item on a shipment with a dropdown menu containing various settings and controls. Clicking “Edit Unit Price” opens a modal window where a user can enter the new “Unit Price”, and then enter a “Reason” for the pricing change. When all required information has been entered, we’ll click “Save” to update the pricing. Clicking “Cancel Item” opens a modal window where we can enter the “Quantity to cancel” from the shipment, as well as a “Reason” for the cancellation. When we have entered all required information, we’ll click “Cancel Items” to update the quantity.
