The “Store Credit” menu allows us to create and manage “Store Credits” and “Store Gift Cards”. Credits can be created for “Rewards”, “Gifts”, or as “Appeasements”. Shoppers can have Credits applied directly to their accounts, and then enter the “Codes” during checkout. They can also mix-and-match these Credits and choose specific amounts from each, combining them with other Payment Options or Credits.Important Note: The “Store Gift Cards” referenced in this video are different from “Gateway Gift Cards”. “Store Gift Cards” can only be used at the merchant that they originate from and function similarly to Store Credit. “Gateway Gift Cards” are created and managed from a Payment Gateway and are not tied to a particular merchant. Clicking the “Ellipses” on the far right of a Credit allows us to “Edit” or “Delete” the Credit, or navigate to the related “Customer Account”, if applicable. To create a new Store Credit or system-generated Gift Card, click the “Create New Store Credit” button on the top right. Next, we can optionally enter a “Code” for the shopper to use for the Credit redemption, or we can leave it blank and the system will generate one. We can enter optional “Activation” and “Expiration Dates” for the Credit. If we don’t enter an “Activation Date”, the system will use the Date the Credit was created by default.
