In this video, I will demonstrate the “Target Criteria” section for a “Line-Item”-type discount. The Target Criteria specifies the details of what the discount applies to once the “Discount Conditions” are met. For example, we may want to provide a “free bracelet”, which would be the “Target Criteria”, if a shopper purchases more than $100 of our products, configured in the “Discount Conditions”. In this video, I will demonstrate the target criteria section for a line item type discount. the target criteria specifies the details of what the discount applies to once the discount conditions are met For example, we may want to provide a free bracelet which would be the target criteria. If a shopper purchases more than 100 dollars of our products configured in the discount conditions. First, we’ll need to determine the “Scope” of the discount “Target”. We can choose “Specific Products”, “Specific Categories”, or “All” products to be eligible to receive the discount if the conditions are met. For this example, we’ll select “Specific Products”. First, we’ll need to determine the “Scope” of the discount “Target”. We can choose “Specific Products”, “Specific Categories”, or “All” products to be eligible to receive the discount if the conditions are met. For this example, we’ll select “Specific Products”. Next, we’ll identify the specific product or products we want to “Target”. We can click in the “Search” field to scroll, or click the “Add” button to open a modal window to search for and select Products. In this example, we’ll select the “Blackstone Portable Pizza Oven”. This explicitly tells the system which line item receives the discount. Again, we can select more than one product to apply the discount to.Selecting “Specific Categories” works similarly, but instead of applying Products, we’ll search for and apply Categories. “All” requires no selection, as it will “Target” all Products and Categories. Next, we’ll identify the specific product or products. We want to Target. We can click in the search field to scroll or click the add button to open a modal window to search for and select products. in this example, we’ll select the Blackstone portable Pizza Oven, this explicitly tells the system, which line item receives the discount again, we can select more than one product to apply the discount to Selecting specific categories work, similarly, but in a products will search for and apply categories. All requires no selection as it will Target all products and categories. Select the “Quantity” of products on which the shopper receives the discount. Leave this field blank for an Unlimited amount. For example, we may want to apply the discount only to the first product in the Order. Or, we may want to apply the discount to the same amount of products that are required for purchase in the “Discount Conditions” section. Selecting the “Scope” as either “Specific Categories” or “All”, adds fields where we can exclude Products or Categories which we do not want to apply the discount. For example, we may have a discount for 25% off clothing items, but we may not want to include “Blazers” in the sale. Selecting the “Scope” as either “Specific Categories” or “All”, adds fields where we can exclude Products or Categories which we do not want to apply the discount. For example, we may have a discount for 25% off clothing items, but we may not want to include “Blazers” in the sale. We’ll include any “Price Lists” which we want the discount to apply. For example, we may have a Price List with a price entry for a “Water Bottle”. The discount might apply to the “Water Bottle”, and we want to discount the price specified in the Price List. We’ll include any “Price Lists” which we want the discount to apply. For example, we may have a Price List with a price entry for a “Water Bottle”. The discount might apply to the “Water Bottle”, and we want to discount the price specified in the Price List. Next, we’ll need to decide if we want the discount to “Apply to products on sale”, and if so, do we also want it to “Apply to sale price”. For example, we may already have a discount for 25% off a product, but we may not want to discount “already on sale” products or discount the “sale price”.Lastly, If multiple products qualify for the discount, we’ll need to decide if we want the discount to “apply to the highest-priced product or products first”.For example, lets say we have a “Buy One Get One Free” discount on “Water Bottles” that shoppers can redeem once per order. A shopper buys two different “Water Bottles”; one model costs “8"whiletheothercosts"8" while the other costs "6”. In this example, if we specify for the discount to “apply to the highest-priced qualifying product first”, then the shopper receives the discount on the more expensive “8"model.Next,wellneedtodecideifwewantthediscounttoapplytoproductsonsaleandifso,dowealsowantittoapplytosaleprice?Forexample,wemayalreadyhaveadiscountfor258" model. Next, we'll need to decide if we want the discount to apply to products on sale and if so, do we also want it to apply to sale price? For example, we may already have a discount for 25% off of product, but we may not want to Discount already on sale products or discount the sale price. lastly if multiple products qualify for the discount will need to decide if we want the discount to apply to the highest price product or products first, For example, let's say we have a buy one get one free discount on water bottles. That Shoppers can redeem once per order. A shopper buys two different water bottles. One model costs 8 dollars while the other costs 6 dollars. In this example, if we specify for the discount to apply to the highest price qualifying product first, then the Shopper receives the discount on the more expensive 80 model.
