“Sandboxes” are critical for safely testing “Code”, “Themes”, and “Configurations” in an isolated environment separate from a live production store.In this video, I will discuss how to provision a new “Sandbox Environment” in the KIBO Dev Center. First, we’ll go to KIBOCommerce.com/login, then we’ll select our environment. In this video, I will discuss how to provision a new Sandbox environment in the kibo dev Center. First, we’ll go to kibo, commerce.com slash login, then we’ll select our environment. We’ll select our Developer Account to open the “Dev Center”. We’ll select our Developer Account to open the “Dev Center”. At the top of the Dev Center page, we’ll click “Sandboxes”. At the top of the Dev Center page, we’ll click “Sandboxes”. This is the “Sandboxes” menu page. All existing “Tenants” will be listed here.To create a new Sandbox, we’ll click the “Create Sandbox” button on the top right. This is the “Sandboxes” menu page. All existing “Tenants” will be listed here. To create a new Sandbox, we’ll click the “Create Sandbox” button on the top right. This will open a “Create Sandbox” modal.First, we’ll need to enter a unique “Name” to identify the new sandbox.Next, we can select an optional template. We can choose a KIBO-supplied template , which is noted in blue text for a pre-configured environment, we can clone an existing sandbox, or select “None” if we wish to build the sandbox from scratch.We can configure the regional settings for the Site’s Catalog by selecting the appropriate options for “Locale”, “Currency”, and “Country Code” to match the market we intend to test.Lastly, we’ll select the “Sandbox type”, then we’ll click “Save”. This will open a “Create Sandbox” modal. First, we’ll need to enter a unique “Name” to identify the new sandbox. Next, we can select an optional template. Lastly, we’ll select the “Sandbox type”, then we’ll click “Save”. The new Sandbox will initially appear in the Sandbox menu list with an “InProgress” status. This is the new Sandbox environment we just created.A couple of important notes on creating new Sandboxes: Provisioning a Sandbox grants all current Dev Account users the “SuperAdmin” role on that Sandbox, which means they can modify the Sandbox within Dev Center and Admin . However, if we invite a user to the Dev Account after provisioning a Sandbox, the user is denied access to that Sandbox. The Dev Account Owner or Project Manager roles should administer user access to Sandboxes from within the designated project, if applicable.Creating a new “Site” in a Sandbox may take up to 30 minutes before the cache refreshes and the Site’s settings are available for configuration. This is the new Sandbox environment we just created.
