In this video, I’m going to discuss “Discount Extensibility”, which can be configured for any Discount in the “Attribute Conditions” section. “Discount Extensibility” allows users to utilize custom Attributes as additional discount conditions, allowing more flexibility over how discounts are applied.While configuring “Customer”, “B2B”, “Order”, or “Location Attributes”, users can indicate whether they are “Available for Discounts”. Then, the Attributes can be used to define specific conditions in discount configurations. To add a custom Attribute to a Discount, in the “Attribute Conditions” section of the “Discounts” configuration page, click the “Add” button on the right. Depending on the custom Attributes that have been enabled, our options here will be “B2B”, “Customer”, “Order”, and “Location Attribute”.In this example, we’ll select “Customer Attribute”. If we select a comparison Operator, another field will appear where we will enter the “Value” that the attribute should be compared to.In this example, we’ll say that Shoppers must have a “Loyalty Level” of “Platinum” to qualify for the Discount.When we have configured all fields as needed, we’ll click the “Add” button on the bottom right.
