In this video, I will demonstrate the “Discount Conditions” section for a “Line-Item”-type discount. The Discount Conditions determine what must happen before a discount applies. For example, we may want the pre-discounted Order total to exceed “$100” before a discount applies, or we may want the shopper to purchase at least “three” clothing items before we allow them to use a coupon. If we do not want to apply a condition, we can leave it blank. All Discount Conditions are optional.Important Note: In the case of competing discounts, such as when a shopper has a subtotal of exactly “100"intheircartandappliesforadiscountthatgives"25100" in their cart and applies for a discount that gives "25%" off when they spend "100” or more as well as a discount that gives “50%” when they spend “100"orless,thediscountscompeteforthebestdeal.Inthiscase,theorderwouldbe"50100" or less, the discounts compete for the best deal. The “Minimum” and “Maximum Order Amount” fields allow users to restrict the discount to only Orders falling within a specific value. Leaving these fields blank means the discount will apply to any Order, regardless of its total value. When selecting “Specific Products and Categories”, the Discount will apply to the shopper’s Order if they purchase the defined “Quantity” of specific Products or Categories identified in these fields. If we want the discount to only be applied to line items with specific “Fulfillment Types”, then we’ll enter those types into the “Exclusive Fulfillment Methods” field. Valid values are “Ship,” “Pickup,” “Digital,” “Curbside,” and “Delivery”. If this field is left blank, then the discount will be able to apply to items of all “Fulfillment Types”. “Exclusive Locations” limits the discount to specific stores and locations.
