When configuring tax settings, consider the following questions:
- Is your site tax exempt?
- Which states within the United States do you need to collect taxes from?
Configure Tax Settings
To configure tax settings:
- Go to System > Settings > Tax.
- Select the Tax Exempt checkbox if your site is tax exempt. If not, select the locations you need to charge tax for from the Collect Taxes for the Following States drop-down menu.
- Click Save.
Use the context switcher to repeat these steps for each site.
